Jennifer Miller
About Jennifer
Jennifer Miller is a member of UPC, a new MTW staff member, and a graduate
of RTS. She was approved by MTW in November to be a missionary to East Asia,
and left for the field at the end of July to begin two years of work teaching
English and ministering to college students on the university campuses there.
Reaching The Unreached
Her work includes starting seeker studies, small groups, and discipleship
groups among the college students. Because this is a restricted access region,
the time she spends teaching in the classroom provides a great foundation
to build personal relationships with the students. Additionally, Jennifer
is excited to be returning to East Asia where she has previously spent three
years doing the same ministry before coming to Orlando for seminary. Jennifer
will be returning to the field even further equipped for the work after earning
an MA in Biblical Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary and an MA in Teaching
English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Central Florida.
The God of the Impossible
In a region of the world where church-planting is illegal, Jennifer will
come alongside the Christian body there to encourage and build them up. This
is accomplished by connecting the college students to the church and by providing
theological training where appropriate. Also, Jennifer will have the opportunity
to share Christ with the local university professors who will be in the university
system on a long term basis, thus ensuring an even greater impact on the
students.
