What was so amazing was to see all the different ages of women, and from all
walks of life (new moms, "old" moms,
single, divorced, remarried) come together for one purpose ----- to draw

It was a very refreshing time with great teaching about how we make God
small in believing lies about Him based on our feelings and circumstances.

As the sun beams into my husband’s office this morning, I can’t help
but turn my thoughts back to last Saturday morning on the beach. Beautiful
morning, sun beaming, cool breeze and the waves lapping over ever so gently. God
was there as I walked and prayed with a very close friend. (Continue reading

I too was blown away at God’s faithfulness last weekend. I was blessed
over and over by the teaching and speakers. We have a treasure of wealth in

I wanted to let you know just what a HUGE blessing the retreat was for me. I
was spiritually encouraged and challenged. I was uplifted by such kind
and caring ladies and refreshed by the laughter and new friendships made. It

I went to this year Women’s Retreat without any real expectations. I
showed up knowing I was going to be the youngest person there that was not
still in diapers, and wondered how that was going to play out. I wondered
if I was going to have anything in common with anyone there, and if the speakers
would even have anything to say that was relevant to a single 24 year old. But

I would like to share with you my experience with this year's retreat,
how awesome our God is, and how grateful I am to have made so many new
sisters in Christ.
When I signed up for the retreat I was expecting to get a relaxing
weekend away from my hectic family life, and connect with some new
friends since I am relatively new to UPC and only knew one person. I
thought I can eat out, relax on the beach, chat with the girls, and of
course listen to a sermon or two. God had very different plans for
me.....and I gotta tell you, if I had known his plans, I would have
