UPC Boy Scout Troop 363
Boy Scout Troop 363 is a youth ministry of UPC for boys ages 11 through 17. The Boy Scout program and values are fundamentally Christian-based. For boys within our church community, Boy Scouting is an activity that reinforces biblical values and teaching. Participation in the scouting program at UPC is not limited to church members. As an outreach, Troop 363 allows people in the community to develop relationships with Christians and to experience the Gospel.
Troop 363 desires to create an exciting program that provides opportunities for activities like camping, backpacking, canoeing, rock-climbing, shooting and archery. In addition to all of the outdoor skills acquired by Scouts, the Boy Scout program also provides significant opportunities for leadership development. Boy Scout Troops are intended to be led by the boys. The skills learned in scouting will serve the Scout throughout his life time.
If you are not familiar with Boy Scouting, Vic Godlewski can tell you about all about it. You can also stop in and visit one of the Troop meetings to see what is going on. If you think it might cost too much to let your son join, please talk to us.
The troop meetings are held in the Commons at University Presbyterian Church on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 pm while public school is in session. Visit the Troop 363 web site for more information.
