College Ministry: Our Strategy
In connection with the purpose of U-Life, our ministry has a strategy for this focus.
I. Equipping
In order to help students discover their identity in Christ, we focus on three main activities for them to get connected.
1. Small Groups –
Small groups are an important way for students to grow together in their faith (Matthew 18:20). We offer men and women small groups throughout the year. Our focus in the small groups is on Scripture, accountability, and encouragement towards one another.

2. Adopt-a-student –
This is a program designed for students to have a “home away from home.” As many students are away from their families, U-Life provides a church family to help encourage them through their years in college. This becomes a place for students to learn, be cared for, and to serve.
II. Educating
To help students be able to gain more of a Biblical worldview, U-Life focuses on three activities for learning.
1. Sunday School –
This Semester in Sunday school we are studying ‘The Prophets of the Old Testament.’ This is a major section of the Bible that is often times neglected in our studies. We will be learning who the prophets were, what was happening during these times, and how these books can apply to our lives today.
2. Campus Ministries –
A big part of college is to get involved in a campus ministry. There are several campus ministries at UCF that a student can get involved in.
- RUF (Reformed University Fellowship): Contact .
- Campus Crusade for Christ: Contact .
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes: Contact .
III. Evangelizing
As we help students identify their identity in Christ and educate them in the Word of God, we then strongly encourage them to share the love of Jesus to those whom they come into contact with. There are a few ways we emphasize evangelism…
1. Personal Invitation –
A big part of Christianity is in relationships. U-life strongly encourages our students to personally invite their friends to our church activities and events. We have a system where students contact those who are interested in coming to our church by email or phone call.
2. Follow up –
After a student has come to our church or event, we then have other students contact them to make them feel welcome.
