Getting to know our Kingdom man of the month for February: Mark Hallsten
Mark grew up in California in a Christian home. He received Jesus at summer camp when he was 8 years old. Much later he and Kathy met at that same summer camp. They have 6 children, 4 of whom are now adults living on their own. They came to Orlando with Campus Crusade for Christ where Mark works with the Global Technology Team, equipping leaders around the world to more effectively reach people with the love of Jesus.
Mark enjoys walks and bike rides with Kathy and backpacking with his sons when they can get back to the wilderness of northern California. One of Mark's life accomplishments was the design and construction of their house - which they sold before moving to Orlando. On a much smaller scale Mark recently completed the renovation of the exterior of their house here in Orlando applying 4,800 pounds of new siding.
Mark and Kathy put a high value on their marriage and family. They almost always have dinner together as a family and their ministry to others is usually a team effort. Mark has a passion for helping people live by God's Word in the area of stewardship. He believes our spiritual growth and our growth as God's money managers are intertwined. Mark says, "Christ came to give us freedom in every area of our lives."
