Getting to know the Kingdom Man of the Month for Dec. 2010: Mark Brown
Written by Seth Hammond
Mark demonstrates the 4 values of a Kingdom Man: Servant Leadership, bravery, devotion to Christ & His cause, and a pure heart.
Servant Leadership: Mark has served in a number of areas at the Church. He has been serving as one of our Welcome Team Leaders for over 2 years. He also was ordained as a deacon in August of 2010. As a Deacon, Mark oversees the security of our church, and he serves our members who are in need. Mark also works for Mears Transportation Group.
Bravery: In early 2010, Mark survived an intense heart surgery. He proved his bravery by persevering through several difficult months.
Devotion to Christ & His Cause: Mark became an active member of UPC in October of 2006. He is one of the most reliable men that I know as every week, he's one of the first people who arrives at church and one of the last people to leave.
Pure Heart: Mark not only loves the LORD, but he has been faithfully married to his wife, Silvia, for 22 years. They have two children, Curtis & Jessica. Curtis, 18, is serving in the Armed Forces. Jessica, 14, attends Lake Howell High School.
