Alan Penman and his wife, Sheri, are both from Central Pennsylvania and are graduates of Penn State. They have been married for 26 years and have three children Will, Andrew (Smitty), and Melanie. They have served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 26 years, during which time they have lived in New York, East Asia, California and, for the last 4 years, Orlando. Alan works at the International Headquarters of CCC in Human Resources for the Campus Ministry. He is also involved in the Manna Ministry at UPC.
